Support Alexandria's Recovery and Family

5/29 - Alexandria is making great progress in her recovery. She is able to get around the house, mostly with a walker but also on her own. The kids have such a great help to her in making sure she is comfortable and not overdoing it as she heals.

Alexandria has always been a hands-on mother. With five energetic kids, she embraces the chaos of their adventures. Their home is a whirlwind of laughter, scraped knees, and muddy sneakers. The front yard, with its towering tree, is their favorite playground.

Last Sunday afternoon, Alexandria joined the kids in their fun and climbed the tree. Her laughter mingled with theirs, as they cheered her on. She is their hero—a mother who can climb trees like a pro.

Alexandria felt invincible while she climbed, but then, disaster struck. Her foot slipped, and she plummeted twelve feet to the ground. Pain exploded through her back.

She was transported to Willamette Valley Medical where it was confirmed she’d broken her back, a bone burst in L1, and was then moved to OHSU where she underwent surgery. 20 staples later and 7 days in the hospital, she will return home to a slow recovery as she regains her mobility with the assistance of medical equipment. She will not be able to return immediately to work.

She is asking for help with the unexpected financial burden of medical bills, which will far exceed insurance coverage, and living expenses while she recovers. No matter how small, every contribution will make a tremendous difference in this journey.
