Support Alexis' Gender Affirming Journey

Hey folks, my name is Alexis (she/they) and I'm a transfeminine woman. In light of recent events I’ve decided to expedite my gender affirming care and am looking for support. I’ll be undergoing top surgery in early December, as well as taking steps to have my legal IDs/documents updated before January to represent my true gender.

I'm looking to use whatever funds possible to put towards medical expenses, supplies, and work missed due to my procedure, as well as for legal fees for name change and documentation updates and submissions. Leftover supplies after my recovery will be donated or given to other trans folks navigating top surgery recovery, with extra funds going to other trans support campaigns.

Much gratitude to all my friends, family and community that have supported my journey thus far and to all of those that help me during these uncertain times leading up to January. I'm closing in on 5 years since I transitioned and never once thought that this would be something I'd be able to do or reach this age. It was only about a year ago I recognized this was something necessary for my mental health and well being as a transwoman going forward. I would have loved to take greater time to pass some of these milestones for my transition, and there's a chance I might not be able to pursue all the care I require. In taking these steps I know it'll bring a better sense of joy to my life and hopefully better prepare me for the weeks and years ahead.
