Support Alexis through Lily's Cancer Battle

My name is Robin and I'm creating this fundraiser for my dear friend Alexis who is navigating the challenges of supporting her teenage daughter Lily through a recent papillary thyroid cancer diagnosis. Lily is such a special young woman who our family has grown to adore. She is dedicated sophomore at Central High School who plays varsity softball, club ball with Oregon Titans Ohana, volunteers at youth tournament teams, FFA events and even makes appearances as Santa's elf at the Polk County Christmas Fair. Lily has continued to juggle school, sports, and family commitments while trying to maintain a sense of normalcy amidst her diagnosis. This type of news is a parent's worst nightmare and the financial impacts of missed work and medical bills shouldn't be something Lily's family has to stress over.

Unfortunately, Lily's diagnosis in April and upcoming surgery in June means there has been little time to plan and save for this unexpected event. Alexis will need to take time off work to care for her daughter during recovery and shuttle her to physical therapy and follow-up treatment appointments. Lily's form of cancer is slow moving and her treatment type has a high success rate, but unknown medical bills and lost wages are looming concerns that should not overshadow Lily's recovery.
