Support Alexis's Family After Tragic Plane Crash

Emergency Support for Alexis & Family - Plane Crash Disaster

On January 31st, 2025, many lives changed forever when an aircraft crashed into the Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood near Roosevelt Mall. Alexis lives at the corner of Cottman and Rupert. She was home preparing dinner when the devastating impact occurred, causing an explosion that destroyed the first floor of her home. What she experienced is too graphic to share here. By God's grace, Alexis managed to escape with her new puppy, Princess. Miraculously, Alexis's 7-year-old daughter was with her grandmother at the time.

The impact has left them unable to return home - their house is currently inaccessible due to the ongoing federal investigation. Her car was severely damaged, and they've lost access to all their personal belongings. Alexis, who works at a law firm in Center City, relies on her car to reach public transportation for her daily commute.

Today, I spoke with Alexis's 7-year-old daughter, who attends the St. Matthew School on Cottman Avenue. When I asked what she needed most, she said in the sweetest voice, "What about a new house?" This innocent question breaks our hearts - no child should have to face such displacement. She's currently without access to her school uniforms (received), backpack (received), lunch box (received), water bottle (received), school supplies, clothes, favorite toys, squishmallow pillow, stuffed sloth, My Melody, and the comfort of her own room.

While we are deeply grateful that Alexis survived, she and her daughter are facing the enormous challenge of rebuilding their lives. They need immediate assistance with:
• Temporary housing
• Basic necessities and daily meals
• Transportation costs
• School supplies and uniforms (received)
• Replacing essential documents
• Transportation solution
• Possible relocation costs

Any amount you can contribute will help Alexis and her daughter begin to rebuild their lives after this devastating event. For those who wish to donate new or gently used items, please message me for details of their immediate needs and where to drop them off.

Your prayers and support mean everything during this difficult time.

UPDATE 2/3/2025: Community Support in Action
We are overwhelmed by the incredible love and support from the Philadelphia community. We especially want to thank the HERO Firefighter who found Princess and has agreed to foster her until Alexis gets housing. A special thank you to Flynn & O'Hara, who have generously donated school uniforms for Alexis's daughter.

We learned today that the home has been declared officially condemned (with a yellow sticker on the door), due to structural damage. This is an emotional time for the family, so they appreciate your love, support, prayers, and privacy.

For those who are still able to make a donation of needed items or gift certificates, please contact me for details. Drop-off times are Monday-Thursday this week from 3-6 pm.
