Support Alexis's Journey to Transplant

Im writing this with a heavy heart. My name is Alexis Villarreal, I am 38 years old, a mother to a 10 year old. Back in January of 2020, I started experiencing back pain, fatigue (where I thought it was due to my work), missed menstrual cycles, and unexpected weight loss. When a regular check up with my OB turned into a rush to the ER due to high blood pressure. Several exams were taken, and I was diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. For the past 4 years I have been disabled due to in home dialysis, unable to live a regular lifestyle. In July of 2020, I came out positive with Covid, where my health quickly declined, leaving me intubated for 3 months, and spent 1 month in rehab learning to walk and breathe again. I’ve been waiting for a kidney transplant for the past 4 years, and continue using oxygen to aid with my damaged lungs. Within the past few days, my lung dr discovered that I have pulmonary fibrosis and has declined its function to 30%. Now, because of this unexpected health issue, I need a lung transplant, which placed my kidney transplant on hold, and was removed from the waiting list. My dr. has advised me to move to Houston, tx. and leave my life behind for the next 6 months - to 1 year, to wait on a last minute call for my new lung. I’m asking for your help for financial assistance to cover basic necessities for my medical needs, and move to Houston, tx. Including, food, gas, hotels while I wait for an accommodation, etc. Any amount will be appreciated.
Thank you all for support and love. I hope that I can get my regular life back soon.
