Support Alex's Battle Against Cervical Cancer

My name is Alyssa Palmer, and I have created this fundraiser for my best friend, Maria “Alex” Streight, in order to help her with cancer-related costs. This fundraiser is to help Alex heal from cancer. Please donate to Alex’s healing journey from cervical cancer.

In March of 2024, my best friend, Maria Alexandra Streight, or as most of you call her, “Alex,” was given a very scary Stage IV bladder cancer diagnosis that shook the entire Streight family.

Alex had previously been very sick and battling for her life in the hospital for most of February and March before receiving this diagnosis. She had no idea about the journey she would need to embark on to heal.

Alex was first misdiagnosed with Stage IV bladder cancer before finally receiving the correct diagnosis of Stage IV cervical cancer and starting the right treatment for the cancer. Thankfully, Alex and her family sought a second opinion at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, that saved her life. She is now undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatment and is going to start radiation therapy soon.

Cancer is a very expensive, chronic disease, and Alex and her family need your donations for costly medical treatments and expenses. She has been unable to work since December, and the medical bills are piling up.

At the moment, Alex has $20,000 in medical bills and is hoping to raise enough to hopefully pay for this and additional future costs of treatments to keep her healthy.
