Support Alex's Continued Fight Against Leukemia

Hi! My name is Ally.

On September 21, 2021, one of my best friends in the world, Alex Elia, was diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia.

Her entire world was put on hold, and her entire life changed to put all her efforts into her battle with cancer.

She had recently been feeling very positive and hopeful, as she is declared cancer free! She knew she would still have a year or more of chemo treatments to keep cancer away, but she was starting to feel like herself again.

Fast forward to yesterday, January 3rd, 2023, she received some heart-wrenching news. She has been diagnosed with necrosis (dying bone tissue) in both of her legs. It has spread from the lower legs and is now being found in her upper thigh and hips. She is now dealing with a femoral head AVN, an acetabular fracture ( a break in the socket portion of the "ball-and-socket" hip joint), intramedullary infarcts (bone lesions), a hip labral tear, and hip effusion (fluid gathering in the hip).

She cannot walk on her own without a cane and is experiencing immeasurable pain. The treatment plan is not certain yet, but it is looking like a hip and/or knee replacement may be the next step.

I am hoping to raise money not only for her new medical bills, but to help support her regular recurring bills and her quality of life.

She has not been able to work since the diagnosis of Leukemia, and this bone necrosis (bone death), is, unfortunately, going to prevent her from going back anytime soon.

Throughout the new treatment plan for her bones, she will also be continuing chemotherapy for at least the next year to keep leukemia away.

Alex is 24 years old and has so many family and friends who adore her. She loves hard and unconditionally for all of her friends, family, the planet, and animals.
