Support Alex's Urgent Medical Care

Hi everyone,
I'm writing this on behalf of the Obuya and Mary Ombogo Michieka Families, who urgently need funds due to a medical emergency.
On the night of March 3rd, 2024, Alex was brutally attacked in Kenya. He was found by family members the following morning with blood-stained clothing, bleeding from the ears, his nose, and left eye. He was admitted to a hospital in Kisii, Kenya, shortly after being found. It was discovered that Alex had a cerebral hematoma (brain bleed) with swelling in the brain as well as ethmoid bone/compound skull fractures. He stayed in Kisii for 3 days, where he received treatment. He was then taken to a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya for further treatment. Alex faced many complications during admission due to his injuries and underwent multiple surgeries for ventriculitis with meningitis as well as an intracranial abscess. He was admitted for over 60 days and was fortunately stable to go home in May 2024.
Alex now requires 24/7 care due to his altered mental status and he requires assistance with daily tasks and activities. It was later discovered that Alex also had lost vision in his left eye due to his brutal injuries.
The family is currently burdened with his medical bills and ongoing care. Furthermore, we are undergoing efforts to get him to the United States for urgent medical intervention as he has fluid accumulating in his brain and continued swelling which is leading to his cognitive and physical decline in health. We are kindly asking for any kind of support to help with our efforts to take care of Alex and improve his health. Our priorities are to get him medical insurance, establish care in the United States due to his complications, and resolve his hospital balance in Kenya. Any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support!
