Alice Archer was the salt of the earth. My mom was so kind, gentle, and quiet. My mom loved the Lord. My mom had stage 4 lung cancer. My mom went to Cleveland Clinic hospital with oxygen 94, blood pressure 120/80, and heartbeat 95-110. My mom's white blood cells were 9000. The ER doctor was baffled. My mom's right lung was clear and had no cancer. The ER doctor convinced my mom to complete a CT scan with contrast. Five minutes later, she was rushed out with a team of 20 people calling code blue. My mom's oxygen dropped from 100 to 30, heart rate jumped from 90 to 220, and blood pressure fell to 40. My mom died three days later. My mom fought the greatest battle of her life. I was there from the beginning to her taking her last breath. The last words of my mother were, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Joy, Joy, Joy." My heart is so broken. My mom had so much more life to live. My mom was a fighter. She was so independent. We were going to travel the world together. I am so sorry. I am so sorry. I did everything in my power to keep you alive, and you lived a quality life. I love you, Mommy.
