Alicia AND Rita Holiway's Memorial and Family Expenses

Hello Everyone!

I posted the message below to support Alicia's passing on Friday, July 26, 2024. At the time of her passing, her mother Idella, who we all knew as "Rita," was hospitalized and battling leukemia for over a month and has now also passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Rita was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was also a valued and faithfully committed member of Harvest Church in Denver, CO for 17 years. Rita was fun, sassy, always full of joy, an amazing cook and one of the kindest, most loving, and giving people I know. If needed, she would give the shirt off her back.

She and her wonderful husband Paul of 35 years, are the sole caregivers of their two granddaughters from their first daughter, who passed away just one year ago. So much loss in such a short period for this family. Rita was faithful to the Lord and always put God first, so we know she is now in heaven with her two daughters. Unfortunately, she left behind a loving husband, family, and two beautiful and intelligent granddaughters who are now without a mom, a grandmother, and an aunt, who were all taken away from them too soon. Your support is needed now more than ever.

Donations will never take away the pain this family feels from their sudden back-to-back losses, but they will help minimize the financial burden. Not to mention, their granddaughters are days from going back to school. Please keep the entire family in your prayers!!

My name is Roz, a close friend of the Holiway family and their beautiful daughter, Alicia Holiway, who was recently taken from us too soon.

I met Alicia and her family about 17 years ago at Harvest Church when she was 9. She and her family are among the most caring, thoughtful, loving, giving, and committed people I know. They are known for putting the needs of others ahead of their own.

Alicia enjoyed painting, drawing, and making desserts. She also had a passion for traveling, music, and concerts. Her favorite artists include Alicia Keys, Sir, Mariah the Scientist, Kendrick Lamar, Hippie, Sabotage, and 6Lack.

This fundraiser aims to raise money to assist them with medical and funeral expenses as they navigate through this tough time.

Alicia was only 26 years old when she was unexpectedly taken from this world, her loving family and friends. A few days after complaining of a terrible stomach ache, the doctors found a blood clot in her lungs, which took her life within a matter of hours.

As you can imagine, this was an unbelievable and unexpected shock to the family, especially since Alicia had no previous medical conditions.
