Hi! My name is Alicia McClendon, and I’m a screenwriter, filmmaker, and actor. I’m the writer and director of Killings of the Land and The Woman Who Knows, which can be found on YouTube.

My brand is strong, flawed women. I typically write about trauma, loss, mental illness, and perseverance. My goal is to entertain, inspire, and educate audiences around the world.

The short film that we are shooting next is called, The Words He Said, a dramatic thriller that we want to shoot for film festivals.

Log Line:

A grieving woman meets a charismatic man, and when he invites her out of town for just the weekend, the idyllic retreat quickly dissolves into something violent and sinister as she finds herself at the hands of a cult and its leader.

Funds go to cast, crew, and set location. Being a poor writer and filmmaker doesn’t mean my team goes without so any pledge is welcomed!
