On July 19th, my good friend Aliona Reselian was on a motorcycle with her newlywed husband Jacob Mizelle, going home. It is then a pick up truck made an illegal turn left and the motorcycle struck it's side. To our deepest regrets, Jacob died at the scene and Aliona was taken to a hospital in a life-threatening critical condition.
She has been put through 12 hour surgeries for her collarbone, pelvic bones, ribs, left hand, left leg and finger on the right hand. Basically the doctors had to reconstruct her from all the injuries sustained. Aliona woke up a few days after and is in complete shock of what happened, refusing to believe that her beloved is gone and that her life changed so radically in just one second because of an irresponsible driver.

For now she is at the Zuckerber General Hospital and has to spend there at least 2 more weeks and then go to a rehabilitation center. Unfortunately all of this costs so much money, our family cannot afford. While our lawyers are trying to work out what happens next, we need to raise $100,000 to  help her recieve the necessary treatment,  rehabilitation, and medical supplies she will undoubtedly need.

We pray to God that we don't have to tell her we can't afford to pay for her rehabilitation and that one day she will be able to get past this horrible accident. Aliona is currently in her last year at the Masters program at the University of San Francisco and we hope she will one day be able to graduate.
