Alissa’s Angels Supporting Her Journey to Healing and Hope

Hey everyone!

For those of you, who aren’t aware, Alissa has been sick for a couple months now. She was originally diagnosed with Covid, that became bronchitis, that became pneumonia, among other complications. After being referred to the ER by her PCP, not only did she have fluid on her right lung, she also had a CT scan that revealed a 22 cm mass in her upper abdomen (picture the size of a plastic 20oz coke bottle) as well as spots on her, pancreas, adrenal gland, and ovary.

After MANY days of testing, biopsies, the removal of 1.5 liters of fluid from one lung and 1.6 liters from her abdomen (which was all sent for testing); we have confirmed cancer, but due to the rare form her doctors have decided to send those results for more testing.

Our last report was that there would definitely be chemo for this. It has been days of unknowns and days of “hurry up and wait”. Despite our high hopes and focus on Alissa’s health, bills continue to come in. We simply do not have more answers today. I know that Alissa has worked so hard in our community for so long. She is fierce. She is strong. And she is capable of extraordinary things. She has not approached this situation any differently, but she needs us in this with her.

I will continue to update as often as I have new news. Today we come to you asking for prayers and shares, and if you are able to, please help us help her so she doesn’t stress the financial end of things. Please do not flood the hospital. Please be mindful that she is still battling comfort through the days, and is also having to focus on her mental health.
