Support Alethea's fight against Stage 4 Cancer

Hello my name is Maria, I am setting up this GoFundMe in support of one of my closest and dearest friends of over 20 years, Alethea (Ally).

In 2020 Ally was diagnosed with breast cancer. After undergoing treatment and surgery she entered the wonderful phase of remission. Earlier this year Ally was suffering from severe back pain in which she thought was a slipped disc. When she discovered a lump on her head she immediately went to her Dr. After various scans and blood tests Ally was told the devasting news that her cancer was back and had progressed to Stage 4 having spread to various parts of her body.

Determined to do everything necessary to give her the best chance of fighting Ally reached out to the Verita Life Integrative Cancer clinic in Bangkok, Thailand. Upon hearing her story and seeing her scans the clinic took her in quite quickly and she has been undergoing treatment there for the past 10 weeks.

Ally’s progress has been amazing, some of her tumours have shrunk significantly or all together disappeared! She has a long way to go but the signs are positive. Upon her return to Australia next week Ally will need to continue various forms of treatments including conventional targeted cancer medications, local hyperthermia, IV infusions, supplements, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. These treatments come at a cost and the family will require some support to keep the momentum going.

Ally has been a pillar of strength, determination and resilience during this time. With the help of meditation and a positive mindset she has managed to fight an incredible fight. The stress of on-going treatment cost is something I don’t want her having to worry about so any donation big or small will help ease the burden while maintaining her incredible progress to date.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Ally and Jaime are private and whilst appreciating the support of everyone around them have requested that they are not overwhelmed with a lot of contact during this time. They have two beautiful boys who do not know the full extent of Ally’s condition and have requested that this not be discussed with the boys.
