Support Allison Shadock During John's Final Days

Hello! My name is Kelly, and I am fundraising on behalf of my best friend of almost 30 years, Allison Shadock.

Five and a half years ago, her husband John was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, which is the worst brain tumor that anyone can get. Initially, when he was diagnosed, they were forced to relocate from Kansas to Florida for a clinical trial at Moffitt Cancer in Tampa. They have been impacted by this tremendously with medical bills, caregiver expenses, loss of income, and everyday expenses with this terrible ordeal. Shortly after he was diagnosed, he was forced to medically retire and they lost his life insurance.

Over the years, he has undergone multiple surgeries, clinical trials including the Polio clinical trial, chemo and radiation, and multiple doses of medicines to keep the newest tumor stable. Throughout this journey, Allison has taken care of John along with working full-time and handling just about everything for John. This past week, things have progressed in such a way that he is now fighting for his life in hospice.

This fundraiser will ease her finances in the coming months with funeral arrangements and medical and household bills so she can manage during this difficult time.

They have been “Strong all Along,” and really need your help. Your generosity will make a great difference in her life and John’s in his final days.

UPDATE: It is with great sadness that John, lost his battle on November 8 while in Hospice. He will forever live in our hearts. Please keep Allison in your prayers.
