Alvin Wayne Barefoot passed away on October 17, 2024, at the MUSC Health Florence Medical Center after a short illness. Alvin's journey through life was marked by genuine selflessness and a spirit of adventure that he carried into all of his endeavors. He formed lasting relationships through his ministry and unwavering kindness. Known for living life to its fullest, Alvin was often described as a part-time comedian whose spontaneity and excitement never failed to uplift those around him. Yet, it was his humble nature and the immense love he held for his family that truly defined him. There was not a person he encountered who didn't feel the warmth of his big heart. Unfortunately he did not have life insurance and now his family is gathering what they can for a proper burial.
