Support Alysha and Jay’s Family in Their Time of Need

Hi, my name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out to you on behalf of a childhood friend, Alysha. We grew up together in this wonderful community, and now they need our help more than ever.

Alysha and Jay have four beautiful daughters, including one with cerebral palsy. Tragically, in June, Alysha had a seizure and that caused her to fall down the stairs at home and resulted in a brain injury, leaving her unable to work or care for their special needs daughter. This has forced Jay to take time off work, but unfortunately, he hasn’t received any benefit payments during this difficult time.

To complicate matters further, Alysha currently has no family doctor or specialist to help her navigate the process of applying for disability leave. As a result, they have no income and are facing mounting challenges. Additionally, due to an overpayment issue with their child tax benefit last year, their monthly payments have been drastically reduced, leaving them with only a fraction of what they’re entitled to as a family with a disabled child.

As a family of six, they went from two incomes to zero, and they urgently need our support.
