We are reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea to support our dear friend, Alyssa, as she bravely battles Stage 4 Colorectal cancer. Alyssa's journey has been incredibly challenging, filled with numerous treatments, hospital stays, and emotional hurdles. Despite all of this, she continues to face each day with strength, resilience, unwavering determination and an amazing sense of humor. Alyssa is a strong, compassionate woman, mother to four amazing kids, dog mom to two miniature horses (Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees and Newfoundland), and a friend who is always there when you’re in need.

About Alyssa's Journey

Alyssa’s battle began in October of 2022, at an alarming young age, with a diagnosis of Stage 3 Colorectal cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. Despite aggressive treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, as well as multiple surgeries, the cancer unfortunately progressed to Stage 4. On October 2, almost two years after her initial diagnosis, Alyssa was hit with another blow. There are new spots growing in her lungs and she’s once again preparing for more chemotherapy.

Your generous donations will have a profound impact on Alyssa’s treatment and recovery. Here’s how your support can make a difference:

• Medical Expenses: Cover the costs of treatments, medications, and hospital stays not fully covered by insurance. (Have you ever received a six figure medical bill? Our friend has.) Mayo hospital requires payment for previous treatments before even scheduling new appointments, so paying these bills is critical to her health.

• Travel Costs: Help with the expenses of frequent trips to the Mayo Clinic for specialized care and follow-up appointments. Alyssa had to spend 5 weeks away from her family to receive daily radiation treatment in Rochester, MN.

• Living Expenses: Support Alyssa and her family by covering essential living costs such as utilities and groceries during this difficult time. It’s critical to Alyssa that her four very active children maintain a sense of normalcy during this time, and your donations will help them do just that.

• Quality of Life: Provide Alyssa with the ability to enjoy meaningful experiences with her family and friends, creating cherished memories despite her challenging circumstances.
