Support Alyssa's Journey to National Invention Convention

Donation protected
I am Jackie Fry and I teach fifth grade GATE students at John Muir Elementary in Stockton, California.

For the second year, I have had a student qualify for the National Invention Convention in Dearborn, Michigan. My students work for several months brainstorming a problem, designing prototypes, and working through the invention process. 35,000 students compete nation-wide and 20 students were selected from the Northern/Central California Invention Convention. My student, Alyssa, was selected as one of these inventors!

Alyssa Flores-Jaramillo is an amazing student who put a lot of time and effort into her invention, Hook N' Slide. Alyssa is an avid crocheter and created a balm for her crochet needles to prevent the squeaking noise from the needles and helps the stitches glide off the hook. She is excited to present her invention to the National Invention Convention judges.

Many inventors who are invited are unable to attend due to the costs of travel from California to Michigan. Let us support this talented young inventor and help her and her family with the costs of air flights, hotel, and registration fees.
