Help baby Majd, who emerged from his mother’s womb to the Gaza war
The bottom left section of the image cover photo above was taken of my Majd after he was born under the threat of missiles and cannons in a hospital that was half destroyed and not prepared for his birth during the most difficult days of the war.
Dear friends, my name is Ahmed Awad, I live in Italy, and I am hosting this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Amjad Abu Mahadi "Majd's father", I hope to help him evacuate his family from the middle of the war in Gaza.

The family consist of three persons :
AMJAD ABU MAHADI 27 YEARS
NOOR MATAR 24 YEARS
MAJD ABU MAHADI 6 MONTHS

This is his story in his own words:

I am engineer Amjad Abu Mahadi. I am 27 years old. I live in the Gaza Strip and work in the Ministry of Agriculture. I urgently need your help in evacuating my small family from Gaza to Egypt so that we can provide safety for our children and rebuild our lives again.

I was living with my wife, the engineer Nour, in our beautiful house that we built together from scratch. We were making preparations to realise another of our dreams of travelling to study for a master’s degree abroad. Our joy was complete when we learned of my wife’s pregnancy. We decided to postpone travel until after the birth. We were preparing for the arrival of my first child (Majd). We celebrated with the family a few days before the war on the occasion of his approaching birth, and they brought him his gifts and supplies.

Everything was fully prepared for his arrival and we were impatiently awaiting the moment of his emergence into the world, but....
We did not know that he would be among those born in this hideous war.

All these beautiful moments that we dreamed of turned into a nightmare, as we had to move to several places and leave everything behind in search of a safe place. We left our home, our dreams, even our clothes and my child’s clothes behind us...

Because of the displacement, fear, fatigue, and suffering that my wife experienced in the war during the last months of her pregnancy, she suffered bleeding, and we had to transfer her to a hospital threatened by bombing that did not contain the minimum requirements for childbirth. We spent 3 days there without any progress in the delivery, which became a threat to the life of the mother and the fetus until An urgent caesarean section was performed to save the newborn at the last moment.
................
We did not know that after all this enthusiasm and preparations, my first child would be born without any clothes even to warm him. At the same moment of his birth, we received news of the destruction of our home. I did not imagine that on the day of his birth, I would stand in the hospital, confused, searching for a place to shelter them. We left the hospital and I had to leave my wife and child in a place far from me, I was separated from my small family against my will. They deprived me of the most beautiful moments with my child, and I was forced to leave my wife alone while she was in the postpartum days and suffering from postpartum depression, so I was unable to communicate with them to reassure myself due to the interruption of all means of communication.

For 7 months, we have lived through the most difficult moments and the suffering is continuing. This was not our life nor our dreams. I hope you can help me donate what you can and share the link on social media to save my family, provide a safe place for my child, help us survive, complete our master’s studies, and build our lives again.

These pictures are part of our suffering in the tents and in cooking food every day
