Hope in the Eyes of the Young
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Brooke Cole and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Amal and her family. The main goal of this fundraiser is to help Amal and her four children to get food, water, and shelter as they seek to rebuild their lives in Gaza. Here is their story as told by Amal, the mother.
THEIR STORY
In one of the destroyed corners of Gaza, where the sounds of bombing never cease, Amal sat on the doorstep of her small tent. Surrounded by piles of rubble, nothing remained of her house except memories. Amal, who had fought alone to bear the burden of life, lived day by day in a constant struggle. Her husband was far away in search of a livelihood, but the storm of war struck Gaza, and the road to his return was blocked.
In the cramped tent, the four children endured difficult times, but they did not complain. Majed, the oldest son at 11 years old, loved cats and felt a deep sadness over the family cat they had to leave behind at home when they fled from the bombing. He would often say, "If my cat were here, she would calm me down," and he would stand by the door of the tent, waiting to hear her voice.
Walid, 8 years old, loved football. But under the harsh conditions, he could no longer play as he once did. The tent did not provide space for running, and he could only dream of kicking a ball in a safe place far from the bombing.
Abdulrahman, or "Aboud" as everyone liked to call him, loved drawing. He expressed his feelings by drawing on small fig leaves he found in the tent. He drew his mother's sad face, a picture of the destructive war, and a picture of their lost cat. He wanted to be an artist, but in these circumstances, he was drawing his pain and sorrow.
Amal, the youngest child, barely a year old, suffered from the cold and the polluted air. Her eyes barely sparkled amidst her fragile health, and no one knew what the future held for her. Amal's mother would cry when she saw her little daughter coughing and shivering from the cold, unable to find enough medicine to ease her pain.
But Amal, the mother, faced an even greater challenge. She had an injury in her foot that required urgent surgery. However, the lack of healthcare in Gaza due to the ongoing situation made obtaining treatment extremely difficult. She was in desperate need of the surgery to help her stand on her feet and better care for her children.
There was not enough food in the tent, and the situation was even more difficult during the days of war. With each passing day, life became harder and more cruel. Amal struggled to provide water and food for her children, but often found herself helpless in the face of the harsh reality. Yet, despite the suffering, she planted hope in their hearts. "Everything will pass, my children, we will endure together," she would repeat these words while trying to smile at them, even though tears filled her eyes.
But this situation cannot continue without support from the outside. If we are all able to help, Amal and her children may find some comfort. This support could serve as a new hope, a ray of light in their dark days. Amal's suffering is not hers alone but is part of the suffering of hundreds of families in Gaza.
Therefore, we invite you today to donate and contribute in helping Amal and her children, as well as thousands of families experiencing the same hardships. Every donation can save a life and bring hope. Your immediate support can also help Amal receive the urgent surgery she needs for her foot, giving her the strength to continue caring for her children in these difficult times.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation with us. You are partners in turning hope into reality.
How can you help?
This family needs your help to move to Egypt, where they can find safety and start rebuilding their lives. Every donation, whatever the amount, can make a big difference. Please donate to help this family escape the horrors of war and start over. Spread the word If you can't donate, you can still help by sharing this story with five of your closest friends. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of Shaima's family and give them the hope and support they desperately need. Donate now and be part of their journey to safety and recovery. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
