Support Amanda Mesko and Family

Hello, my name is Sara Roberts, and I am a close friend of Amanda Mesko. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to help her and her family pay for Amanda's ongoing medical bills.

I met Amanda 6 years ago as my daughter joined Girl Scouts. Needless to say, we quickly became friends, and then a year later co-leaders to our now Juniors troop. She is such a wonderfully kind, strong, faith-filled, and joyous, family member, teacher, and friend to so many people. She is also a loving and busy married mother of 3 beautiful and amazing daughters.

On March 20th 2023, Amanda suffered a frightening, but short seizure at work and was immediately taken to the hospital. Testing revealed that the cause was a large tumor attached to other several small ones located on the left side of her brain. She was sent for several other tests and was then approved for brain surgery.

Amanda underwent a very long but extremely successful surgery on March 31st. They had managed to remove all of the masses from her brain. However, it was discovered that the large tumor had left "spider web lesions" behind, deeper in her brain. These lesions tragically will allow the tumor to return and it will no longer be operable. Treatment will consist now of radiation and chemotherapy to attempt to keep the tumor from growing as long as possible.

Amanda has a wonderful team of doctors and specialists who will be trying everything they can to help her fight this aggressive tumor, and to give her the longest amount of time possible. I know so many, including myself, are praying for the best results she can have at this time.

As you can imagine, between the surgery, MRI's, testing, and now further treatment, the family is facing large amounts of medical bills even with insurance.
