Support Amanda's Long Road to Recovery

Donation protected
I feel kind of weird doing this, but my name's Tommy, and my amazing wife Amanda was in a horrible car crash on her way to work on March 27, 2025. She's a former Disneyland Castmember and currently works in Community Services and Recreation, so she's always helping others. Now Amanda needs our help. She's going to be ok, but we're so lucky and grateful she's alive. Now that she's on her long road to recovery, we're trying to help ensure she's in the best care and situation possible as she heals.

Amanda was T-Boned by a Tesla and had to get extricated from her vehicle so they could get her in the ambulance. She was taken to UCI Medical Center where she was in critical condition in the ER trauma section. Amanda was bleeding internally, has blood clots in her lungs and right leg, and fractured her pelvis in two places, fibula, tibia, and clavicle. Somehow, she avoided back, neck, and head trauma. Thankfully, her amazing team of medical professionals stopped the internal bleeding and was able to move her to the ICU on a breathing tube and ventilator. Once she stabilized and after a slew of tests and procedures, Amanda had successful surgery without complications to insert two pins, five screws, and a rod.

She's still in the hospital and it's unclear how long she'll be there. Right now it seems highly inevitable that she will need to stay at a rehab facility before she can come home. The rehab facility will help her become functioning again, i.e. able to get out of bed, sit up, and go to the bathroom on her own. But like I said earlier, we're so incredibly lucky she's alive; the guys at the towing yard were shocked to find out anyone survived that destruction. Overall, although occupational and physical therapy will be long processes, it's nothing time won't heal.

We've never done something like this, so it feels kind of awkward - and almost kind of guilty - asking for help. Any donations would be exceptionally generous, thoughtful, and meaningful to help offset ambulance and hospital bills, rehab and physical therapy, medical devices (walker, wheelchair ramp, commode, etc.), and medication. Amanda will also be unable to work during this time, and once she is able to go back to work, she'll need a new car to get here there. It's too early to tell how long Amanda's recovery will be, but the original estimate was to the end of June.

Thank you for your consideration; it really means a lot. And if you're still reading this, make sure to tell the people you care about that you love them. Don't take anything for granted.

Much Love,
Tommy and Amanda
