Support Amarachi: Help a 15-year-old Fight for Her Life
I, along with close friends of Amarachi and her family, humbly reach out to you to ask for help on behalf of a family that we hold near and dear to our hearts…
Amarachi is a local Kinnelon, NJ teen diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma (a soft tissue sarcoma affecting the muscles attached to the bones) in January 2024 at 13 years old. Unfortunately, this is a very rare and very aggressive cancer.
Amarachi is our warrior and she has bravely completed 16 months of VAC chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering, but sadly her cancer has recurred and is now in multiple areas. Chemotherapy is no longer working and we are praying Amarachi will be accepted into St. Jude Clinical Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee for a T-Cell clinical trial to help save her life.
Amarachi is a competitive horseback rider, honors student, and artist. She has been an inspiration to all as she continues to find joy in horseback riding, hanging out and laughing with her friends, and spending time with family. She also continues to receive high grades in school during treatment, which is a testament to her tenacity. She has a tremendous will to beat cancer and we are all in her corner as she continues to fiercely battle this disease.
As you can imagine, this has been a tremendous financial burden on her family, particularly for her mother, a single parent providing the sole financial support for Amarachi and her younger brother, as well as needing to maintain her job to cover her medical insurance needs, housing, and all other expenses.
It is with great humility that we ask our community for help to manage the financial burdens this has brought to the family. If you are able to help support Amarachi's care and to allow her mother to spend more time with Amarachi as she supports her in this battle, it would be more appreciated than can ever be expressed.
The help and care expressed so far have been received with heartfelt gratitude and each act is tremendously valued and appreciated. Please use the link below and give as your heart and personal finances allow.
We thank you with all of our hearts on behalf of,
Chi (mother), Amarachi (warrior), Emeka (supportive younger brother)
If you are able to support in other ways, gift cards to DoorDash, Instacart, local restaurants, meals, that would all be greatly appreciated too!
