Support Amazing Grace Solutions: Save Lives

Donation protected
Our Mission:

To alleviate “Substance Use Disorder” by providing support for recovering addicts find recovery / sober living housing and other solutions that will help them grow to self sufficient members of society.

We have a critical need in the greater Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ areas to support men and women coming out of rehabilitation centers find safe and healing living environments. These recovery/sober living homes act as a transitional bridge from rehabilitating these men and women back to functioning, self-sufficient lives.

Ongoing research by the Arizona Department of Health Services shows that more than five people die every day from opioid overdoses in Arizona. Latest figures show over 7,500 emergency and inpatient visits involving suspected opioid overdoses alone.

If we can save just 10 people from 1 drug/alcohol encounter per year, we can save taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayers' money spent on Emergency and In-Patient Visits for opioid addiction events. That saves money while saving lives. It's a win-win for the client and the community.

Our Vision

Our 501(c)3 nonprofit organization is called Amazing Grace Solutions . Our team’s mission is to support the recovering addicts needing a supportive safe place to live, the loved ones of the addicts and the recovery/sober living homes in the Scottsdale, Phoenix and surrounding areas.

Our Story

I’m Debbie, a mother, daughter, sister and friend, as well as a businesswoman. I have seen firsthand the destruction that drugs and/or alcohol addiction can cause. I’ve had close family members battle the demon of substance abuse, and saw the physical and emotional toll it took on them and all of us who love them.

In 2006 I learned my daughter was using heroin. I fell to my knees, crying, when I found out. I thought that was the worst day of my life. Little did I know it was going to get a million times worse over the next 13 years. Not long after my daughter, I realized my brother was an addict as well. At one point they were both living on the street. I didn’t know from one day to the next if I would see either of them again.

Through the years I was mostly a social drinker but during this time I found myself using alcohol to self medicate. As I struggled to help my family, I realized I couldn't expect them to quit their drug of choice if I didn't quit mine. I knew I needed every single brain cell to figure out this situation. So I quit drinking alcohol. That was over 9 years ago. I was blessed that it was just a simple decision for me to make. Most are not that fortunate.

During this period I learned as much as I could about addiction and recovery. Addiction does not discriminate. Most families are affected either directly or indirectly in some way. Addicts work so hard to get clean. But it’s critical that these addicts go into a living situation with some structure and accountability before going right back into the world. They need a home where they are accountable to others to pick up the pieces and thrive in their life. It’s important to have this transitional bridge between rehabilitation and becoming a productive member of society.

By the grace of God, and after several attempts at getting clean and relapsing many times, my daughter and brother were finally able to achieve sobriety after completing intensive long term inpatient treatment programs. My daughter has been clean for over 7 years and my brother has been clean for over 5 years. Both are working in the recovery field, thriving and helping other addicts and homeless. I couldn't be more proud.

Through this process I learned that there were very few affordable places for recovering addicts to live in areas that were safe. A new passion is born. Helping those in recovery find the right living environment for healing and building a better future.

Our Financial Need

Our recovery community needs more support. From the recovering addict, to their families, to the rehabilitation centers and finally to the recovery/sober living homes. They all need our help.

Through the maintenance of the website, staying connected with the resources, coaching and referring clients, we are doing our best to do our part. If you would like to do your part, please donate to this critical cause.

Thank you and God Bless You from the bottom of my heart!!
