SUPPORT AMAZON GROUPS - fight deforestation

At this very moment, wildfires are burning so intensely in the Amazon rainforest that smoke can be seen from space and the blaze has fully covered nearby cities. It is clear that the Amazon and our earth need more than our prayers and awareness. 

We might feel powerless in this climate emergency but there are things that WE can do. With your donation, we can financially support the heroes of frontline Amazon groups to fight the wildfires and deforestation. Every bit helps, it is an investment in our future. 

The money will be donated to a local organization called Socioambiental. An organization that focuses on safeguarding the cultural and biological diversity of the Amazon. By supporting the smaller organizations with a direct contact person we want to assure that every bit goes directly to the local action groups and to where it is needed the most. 

We are in close contact with Mariana Chammas, the communication and relations manager at Socioambiental, to ensure a safe donation procedure and to stay in the loop with their work and projects. 
We got in touch with Mariana after reaching out to Socioambiental and had a nice Skype call with her to get all the ins- and outs about their amazing work. Bodil Huisman will personally withdraw the raised amount in her name and will donate it to their valuable projects through their official Paypal account. Once this has been done, you will receive an official update.
