Help Amber, Tyler and Anouk Recover After Losing Their Home in the Palisades Fire

On the night of January 7th, Amber, her fiancé, Tyler, and their daughter, Anouk (7), watched in shock as flames approached their home through their ring camera. Thirty minutes later, the camera went dark. The next day, heartbreaking photos confirmed the worst—their home was gone. While they are very grateful to be safe, the financial and logistical burden ahead will be heavy.

What's left of the home

This isn’t just a house; it’s a piece of Anouk’s late father, Tim (Timo) Bailly. Timo built this home himself by living in a trailer on the land for years, leaving behind a legacy that Amber and Anouk cherished. They had already endured so much, grieving Timo’s tragic passing. Just as life seemed to be turning a corner—Amber finding love again with her fiancé and planning a backyard wedding—the unimaginable happened.

While they have fire insurance, the details of coverage and reimbursement remain uncertain. Regardless, the immediate costs of recovery involve significant out-of-pocket expenses and are daunting. With the loss of their home and the soaring cost of housing in the area, they face the heartbreaking reality of being priced out of the deeply personal place they’ve called home.

Your contributions will directly help with getting them back on our feet at this difficult time.

Amber is one of the kindest and most resilient people you’ll ever meet. Despite all she’s been through, she pours her energy into her work, her friendships, and creating joy for Anouk. Tyler has stepped in as an amazing father, even proposing to Anouk with a ring of her own when he asked Amber to marry him.

Now, they need their community to rally around them. Let’s help them regain the sense of stability and hope they’ve worked so hard to create.

Non-Monetary Housing Support

Anouk is in the 1st grade, and maintaining stability during this difficult time is especially important. If you’d like to support in non-monetary ways, please reach out with any housing leads in Malibu, Calabasas, or Agoura Hills to help keep her in the same school. This could include temporary housing options, such as a home you’re not currently using or a short-term rental opportunity.

Thank you for showing up for Amber, Anouk, and Tyler during this incredibly challenging time. Every little bit helps, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing their story.
