Support Amelia Jane's Fight Against Leigh Syndrome
Donation protected
Amelia Jane (AJ) Wilson was recently diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome (SURF1). This is a heartbreaking terminal diagnosis, as this genetic mitochondrial disease currently has no cure. AJ is doing well now but at some point she will start to regress.
Her amazing parents, Austin and Megan Wilson, are determined to give AJ the best life possible. Many of you have already asked how you can support the Wilsons during this time, so we have started this page to collect donations to help alleviate some of the financial burdens that will come. Your donations will help give Megan and Austin the opportunity to spend as much time at home with AJ as they can. Donations will also help with the overwhelming cost of numerous medical visits, medical bills, and possible travel to see specialists. Any donations are appreciated no matter how small, and if you are unable to donate your prayers and sharing of this page are so appreciated.
We have big plans to fundraise for the organizations researching treatments for this disease after we have had an opportunity to find the best places to support. More to come on that soon.
You can follow along here for updates on AJ - AJ's Caring Bridge Site
We all appreciate your love and support.
