Support Amelia Longa's Fight Against Period Poverty

Tax deductible
My name is Amelia Longa, and I am a high school student in the United States of America with a passion to give back to the less fortunate women that:
- Can't afford feminine hygiene supplies
- Are in prison/jail without access to products
- Attend schools that do not provide pads and tampons for students in need

This is a serious problem. Did you know that nearly 1 in 4 students who are menstruating suffer from period poverty? As a woman, this is extremely disappointing. I hope that one donation at a time, we can make a difference.

Period poverty is a pressing issue that affects millions of people who menstruate around the world.

All proceeds of this fundraiser go to Period.org. They are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing period supplies to women and mothers in need. Every donation counts and can help ensure that no one has to face the shame and discomfort of period poverty.

“While times are absolutely changing, we still find ourselves up against a very traditional notion that periods shouldn’t be discussed in public! In order to normalize the topic of menstruation, we have to talk about it! The more people have access to quality menstrual health education and period products, the more we can work towards ending the period taboo. I’m extremely passionate about this because periods are not something to be ashamed of, and having access to high-quality period products shouldn’t be something we have to fight for.”
