Support American Bulldog Rescue's Urgent Needs.

Tax deductible
Dog Rescue has always had its ups and downs however, we do not remember a time when it has been so challenging. Pets are being abandoned at an astonishing rate and it has become daunting to keep up with the need! The end result is our having to turn away dogs that need us. In just the past few days, we’ve had several dogs arrive who all needed vetting, food, supplies, etc. As of now, there are three who look to need more comprehensive medical care, Bill, Jabba, Burrito and Brutus.

Bill is a 15-year-old lovely boy who is blind and was surrendered to a city shelter by the only home he has ever known. Sadly, Bill was used as a breeder dog for his entire life and when we went to get him out of the shelter, he was petrified. He will spend some time in our boarding kennel until he recovers from a URI he caught while at the shelter. He's being given antibiotics, a good diet, and getting love and attention from the wonderful folks at the kennel. Bill is underweight with ribs, spine, and hip bones all showing, and he has a small lump that needs to be looked at and his eyes need to be addressed too.

Jabba is a lovely lady found as a stray with filthy ears, inflamed skin, patchy fur, bilateral entropion, and cherry eye. Jabba will be spayed and her skin and ears will be treated. The worst of her condition is her eyes. She is going to need multiple eye surgeries to correct both conditions. Poor Jabba's eyes must hurt, yet she doesn't know any better as this has been her life so far. She's never lived a life without pain.

Burrito spent his life making money producing puppies for a breeder. A person who came to buy a pup called humane officers and when they saw the deplorable conditions they confiscated 17 dogs. Burrito was so stressed in the loud, scary shelter that he tried biting through the metal kennel bars causing his teeth to break and grind down. He's been neutered and has had his mouth examined and he may keep what teeth are left as long as he doesn't experience pain. He does eat and doesn't seem to be suffering any pain, we are keeping a close eye on him.
We’ve also rescued Cheesy Potato and Beef Jerky from the same shelter.

Brutus had been shot in the face with a BB gun.

Your support of American Bulldog Rescue; with your time, money, and empathy, is appreciated and needed now more than ever!

We realize how important our supporters are to saving dogs and want to thank you for your ongoing commitment to ABR.
