I am Akosua Pepra, the sister of Amma Tiwaa Pepra of Food Vision and Events.

On Monday, 27th May 2024, we returned from our grandmother’s funeral to a very unfortunate incident. The house and the shops of my sister, Amma Tiwaa at Ayigya in Kumasi - Ghana had caught fire around 7:30pm GMT. The fire was caused by a nearby restaurant.

One of Amma Tiwaa's Food Vision shop containing all her decor, flowers and event planning logistics got burnt to the ground with nothing surviving. The second shop which is her cake shop sustained severe damage. In addition to the shops, the house we live in Kumasi sustained severe damage with the roofing, electrical and ceiling completely destroyed.

Having spent most of our resources giving our grandmother a worthy burial, we returned to this unfortunate incident. I am calling on you (friends, family and people who have been impacted by the life and work of my sister in one way or the other) to help us raise $6,000 to help her clear up, immediately move the surviving things before it rains and to quickly repair and restore the shop. The money will also help her purchase and recover most of the items lost of the fire. This will help her get the shop operational again to deliver on the orders she has and to be able to work in the busy season of the fall and holidays.
