Support & Celebration Of John (Junior) Stephenson
Donation protected
On Wednesday, April 22nd 2020, John Stephenson; son, brother, uncle, best friend, and shining light has returned back to the Lord and left a heavy heart for those who now wait to see him again.
John lived with a passion, kindness, and grace that he shared openly with all. He was the type of person who often put his problems aside and would seek out those who needed a shoulder to cry on, a smile to warm them, or a witty quip to break up life’s routine.
The love that John showed his friends was worth more than gold and a number of his life long friends have pledged money to help his family pay for the costs associated with his loss. All donations will go directly to John’s family to help offset the large financial burden caused by this unexpected tragedy.
Please consider using the DONATE NOW button to do the same.
We would also love for you to share any pictures or memories you have of John

If you ever asked him WHY.
Why are you so happy?
Why graduate?
Why do you want to land this job at Morgan Staney?
Why go back to Connecticut?
Why aren’t you answering my call John?!
He would tell you,
“Because I’m Uncle John now boy!”
“Marlene”
“I’ve gotta take care of Jalen someday”
“I owe Marcia”
“nonyabusiness!”

We hope you consider honoring our friend one more time by honoring what mattered most to him, his family. No gift is too large or small, the act itself gives family strength to overcome.
Alongside your kind gestures and prayers, we ask that you remember the man John was to you and how he would want you to live each day starting now.
Keep grinding. Keep smiling (and being weird). Roll your windows down and sing at the top of your lungs. When you have to cry, cry. And when it’s time to celebrate party like it’s going out of style. Ignore the haters and spoil those you love. Be comfortable in an office job. Be comfortable dancing in a field with strangers. Steal food from your friends plates and ask their mom for more of the leftovers. Live like there is no tomorrow — not with reckless abandon but instead a deep appreciation for the power of kindness, good food and real friendship.
In the end, it turns out most people don’t remember the words you say to them.
In the end, people remember how you made them feel.
John, we will all miss how you made us feel. Thank you for your friendship. We love you deeply.
