Support Amy in her fight against terminal cancer

The Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay is asking for immediate support as a member of the Rainbow Club Community, Amy Gabriel, has been diagnosed and is battling terminal ovarian cancer.

The Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay along with a team of Amy’s friends are working to raise funds to help Amy with her hospital, care, legal, and in-home respite care. With leftover funds going toward the Amy Gabriel Legacy Cancer Fund to benefit any and all local people in need. Funds are in short supply and dwindling, and we do not want to see our beautiful friend go without anything that she needs or that brings her joy.

To know Amy is to love her. She cares deeply about people and lifts spirits wherever she wanders.

Her work as a Developmental Service Worker and all-around organizational handyperson allowed Amy to spread her magic to uplift folks who are more marginalized in our society. She has supported countless youth and adults with disabilities across school, home, and work environments and become a part of their families and communities.

Until her illness caused her to step away, Amy was the Secretary on the Board of The Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay. She was at all events, a fun and caring presence welcoming and supporting members of the community. As Amy continues this journey, support is vital.
