Support Amy Weaver's Fight Against Colon Cancer

Donation protected
Our beautiful, charismatic, talented, precious friend (aka member of the tribe) needs our help. Last fall, Amy was having some pretty severe stomach pain. She went to Urgent Care to have it looked at and was told she had a massive blockage and severe anemia and she should go to the Emergency Room. After a series of tests, she was rushed into Emergency Surgery. She was told she had very aggressive colon cancer and needed to have a large portion  of her intestine removed right away. She came out of surgery with an ileostomy bag. She was given instructions on how to take care of it and how to live with it. I just can’t even imagine being in her shoes and having all of that happen so suddenly.

Amy’s been so incredibly strong and positive throughout this whole experience. She even named her ostomy bag “Donald” and joked about him. She’s been learning so much and doing as much as she possibly can to heal.  I’ve been blown away by the knowledge she’s gained, her strength and resilience all this time but the time has come when she really needs our help. As many of you know, Amy worked in the food and beverage industry for years and loved taking care of people and giving them a meaningful experience. I’ve seen first hand the connections Amy made with her guests and the smiles she’s put on so many faces. She’s also an incredibly talented photographer and designer and was on her way to pursuing that full time.

She’s not been able to work much throughout this, although she tries her hardest, there are just too many days where even eating is exhausting or impossible. As we all know, bills don’t care if you’re sick. The last thing I want for her right now is to have stress and worry because of piled up bills, lack of medical supplies and other things she needs. So I’m asking everyone to please donate and support her. Amy’s always been tough and extremely independent so she has a hard time asking for help. So I'm asking for her because I see the toll this has taken on her mentally, physically and financially. It's so hard seeing her go through this and I really don't want her to lose her incredible home that she worked so hard to buy on her own.  She was on such a great track until the pandemic hit and then Colon Cancer. So please donate if you can, it will be extremely appreciated. And if you can’t,  please send all the love, good vibes and prayers her way!

I will post updates about Amy as I can and please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions or comments so she is not overwhelmed. Thank you all so much!
