Support Amy's Battle Against Cancer

Hi, I'm Amy! I am 44 years old and I was diagnosed with stage 4-1 cervical cancer back in June of 2022. I went into remission and stayed in remission for a little over a year. I just recently have started having lots of pain in my abdominal area and my mid back area and reached out to my doctor and she ordered a CT scan -just to be safe-. My scan showed that I have 3 different cancerous tumors in my liver, several lymph nodes in my chest and abdomen with cancer, multiple lymph nodes in my neck with cancer, a malignant spot in my umbilical hernia and possibly a cancerous spot in my lower colon. I am a firm believer in prayer and I have faith that God is going to heal me however this is making things hard on our family monetarily. My husband, Jason has a foot injury ( torn ligaments and a partially torn tendon) and he has been out of work since February of this year. He was just told today that he will need to remain out of work for an additional 4 weeks to allow his foot time to fully recover before the HR people will let him come back to full duty. Unfortunately, he will only be getting 60% of his pay during this time and its already hard with him as the only one working due to my cancer. I will be traveling back and forth to UVA cancer center for all of my treatments and this will be an added expense with travel, gas, etc. not to mention copays and fees for my treatment. I am covered through Jason's insurance but insurance only pays a portion of the cost, with Jason out for another month things will likely be pretty tough.

I will be starting my treatments, both chemo and immunotherapy on May 9th, and I plan to keep everyone updated on my journey! Thank you for reading this and for your thoughts, well wishes and especially your prayers! <3
