Support an Educational Tour for Adairis

Dear ACRMA #8 Community,
I have the great privilege of being the Advisor to Adairis Gonzalez-Sanchez. When I planned the 2020 Washington D.C. Tour, I knew I wanted to support many of my interested advisees to enroll and share this experience. One student's face immediately lit up with curiosity and hope. From the beginning, I imagined Adairis being part of this educational tour. However, after a couple of months, I saw her begin to accept that she probably was not able to enroll. You see, Adairis has wonderful committed parents, but two challenges placed the family in turmoil. The potential uncertainty of an inevitable move (searching for a new home) and serious illness within the family. Adairis and her family are not ones to ask for help, but I could not just let this opportunity slip away.
I know the community we have at ACRMA #8. We believe in every child, equity is part of the air we breath, and there are countless students who make our lives better, and remind us that our careers are meaningful. Adairis has inspired me since day one.
Best Regards,
Kyle Magnuson
