Support an Educator through loss and hardship

This Gofundme is being posted in support of a fellow teacher. She is mourning the loss of her husband as well as experiencing financial hardship.

Scott Lane Davis was born on 4/2/1974 and departed from his earthly home on 10/30/2024. Scott lovingly wed Karen Lee Maisel Davis on July 5, 2013. Scott had been fighting cancer for several years and had been upgraded to terminal a year before his passing. Karen and Scott were given that extra year to love and cherish the beautiful relationship God himself ordained. Through the years, Scott's illness kept him from working but Karen fought to maintain health insurance to be able to provide care for her husband.

Karen is a dedicated educator. When she was not caring for Scott, she was at work caring for her students. Taking care of Scott through the ebbs and flows of his cancer, meant Karen had to exceed paid leave. Scott could no longer work, so as a family, there was limited money and life insurance.

Karen wants to be able to give Scott the respectable burial and celebration of life he deserves. However, she is struggling both emotionally and financially. Karen has always been a generous friend and colleague. I hope we can support her in the same way she copes with the love of her life leaving her and going on to rest in God's arms. Please consider supporting Karen and Scott(posthumously), not only for his memorial services but for her continuing to rebuild in the days ahead.
