Support a Young Afghan Woman's Journey to Safe Education
Donation protected
During my time in climate and peace activism, both online and at numerous conferences, I have had the opportunity to connect with so many exceptional people from various parts of the globe. Among them is an inspiring and sweet young woman from Afghanistan who has left a lasting impression on me. She is a straight-A student recently admitted to Missouri State University for the autumn term, and we are urgently seeking crowdfunding support to ensure she can focus on her studies without financial burdens. It is incredibly important for her to pursue an education in the United States because she cannot safely live or learn in Afghanistan.
She aims to pursue a BSc in Business, so that after school she can start a business that employs Afghan women and widows.
Our fundraiser seeks to cover four years of:
Tuition
Academic needs (textbooks)
Health insurance and healthcare expenses
Our family is committed to supporting her by providing a place to live and living expenses, as we have done previously with another student.
Due to safety concerns, we must keep many details private, but I can share that she has shown extraordinary dedication to her education despite facing significant challenges. Her high grades throughout her academic career reflect her intelligence, perseverance, and commitment.
On a personal note, her incredible kindness has both impressed and impacted me. Despite the miles between us, her heartfelt friendship has been a constant source of strength and inspiration for me.
We would greatly appreciate any donations or sharing of our campaign to help. Not only will her education benefit but the effects of her receiving an education will have a lasting and positive impact on the world. Given her success in such a challenging environment, imagine what she could achieve with the opportunities available in the US!
Thank you so much, and with much love,
Sasha
