Tit’s About Time! Top Surgery Fund

This is Anakin, a transmasculine comic artist, cook, and community advocate from Oregon in need of your support. As a recent college graduate, Anakin is currently working full-time to save for his transition costs while supporting himself. As friends and chosen family, we have seen Anakin work tirelessly for life-saving gender-affirming care for years.

Since beginning his transition we have seen Anakin’s well-being improve as he is more comfortable in his identity. While advocating for himself, Anakin has also been an involved community member and activist.

As long as we’ve known Anakin, top surgery is something he’s voiced a desire for. Despite his dedicated preparation, cost still presents a significant barrier to Anakin.

Anakin has been self-supported through most of his young adulthood and has navigated his healthcare needs since childhood. Now, at age 23, Anakin is closer than ever to receiving the gender-affirming care he needs, but we’re asking you to help us make it possible.

Despite overcoming many barriers to receiving care, including traveling out of state, Anakin still faces significant financial obstacles. Between taking time off work to travel for and recover from major surgery, as well as the cost of recovery and living expenses while incapacitated, these costs have become prohibitive. This is why we are seeking to raise $5,000 for Anakin’s top surgery and aftercare.

Cost Breakdown:

$2,000 to directly cover the surgery costs

$1,500 for flights and travel support

$750 for recovery materials and medical supplies

$750 towards recovery support since he will be experiencing limited mobility for an extended period of time.
