Support Anaya's Recovery from Apartment Fire
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Anaya Rodriguez, and I am currently a senior in high school who is facing the loss of the apartment I've lived in all my life, along with my grandmother who was the lessee of the apartment complex located in Ukrainian Village that caught on fire March 14th. The fire began in the living room while neither me or my grandmother were at home. My three cats and dog were caught in this chaos, and fortunately, all of the animals made it out alive due to the help of the Chicago Fire Department. Valuable belongings were lost in the living room such as clothes, shoes, my saxophone and flute, and all of our animals belongings and food. Due to the smoke damage that was more harmful than the fire itself, very few articles of clothing and belongings in the house were salvageable due to the soot, discoloration and the long term damage of these hazardous fumes. Both my grandmother and I reside separably and are in temporary living situations after this fire.
As I'm working to recover from this loss and prepare for my first year of college, I kindly ask for all the support possible, and am appreciative of any and every source of assistance and donations. Thank you for whoever is reading this, and appreciate the consideration.
