Support and celebrate the life and legacy of Lamont Barrow
Donation protected
Hello all! My Name is Jessica Cook and I am the niece of Lamont Barrow. I would like to tell you a little about Lamont….
Lamont was born special. At the age of 4 he was placed in foster care after suffering years of abuse at the hands of his biological family. He bounced around for a while until a single mother of three just so happened to see a commercial about an upcoming adoption fair. Lamont was adopted into the Barrow family at the age of 7. As a praying man, I am led to believe Lamont was also a praying child and he prayed his way into a loving home. Being born special came with it’s challenges but Lamont rose to the challenge each and every time. In October 2023, Lamont was diagnosed with glioblastoma(GBM). With this challenge Lamont had to face his fear of needles, as he had surgery to remove the tumors and complete treatment. In Jan 2024, his cancer went into remission. During this time Lamont enjoyed creating memories with his family and friends. In Nov 2024, the cancer was back and more aggressive. February 2025, Lamont passed on surrounded by the love and care he earnestly prayed for as a child. Lamont lived a large life that many didn’t think he could. He graduated from high school, worked, created loving relationships, and won awards for the work he did in the community. As we prepare to celebrate the life and legacy of Lamont, we are asking for the communities help to give him a well deserved home going celebration.
