Support Andrea's Journey Towards Comfort and Hope

My name is Andrea Peckham. I just turned 40 at the end of September. In February I had to stop working because my back was hurting to the point I couldn't get out bed. In May, I went to the ER because the pain at this point was unbearable. Unfortunately, when I went to the ER I didn't have health insurance so they gave me a couple prescriptions and sent me on my way. There were no images taken and the doctor didn't even check my back or ask any questions to help find the problem. Finally in June, I was able to get health insurance and find a wonderful primary doctor. She sent me for Xrays and physical therapy. She also sent me for a biopsy on a lump I had found in my breast. On August 20th, we received the news that I have triple positive breast cancer. Unfortunately the breast cancer had spread to my spine, pelvis and my skull. I then followed up with an oncologist who informed my family that I do in fact have Stage 4 triple positive metastatic breast cancer. There is no cure. I will have cancer for the rest of my life. I also have a fractured hip due to the disease weakening my bones. I am in a wheelchair and can barely make it to the bathroom on my own. My kids and my husband have been nothing short of amazing through all of this. But the financial burden is taking a toll on my family. There are things that I need that would make life easier for me.
