Support Andrea's Paraclimbing World Cup Journey on Team USA
Donation protected
Hi everyone! I recently competed at the 2025 US Paraclimbing Nationals and finished in 2nd place in my division (AL-1 for seated athletes) thus earning a spot on Team USA for the year. I am so honored and excited to have the opportunity to compete and represent my country.
Paraclimbing has been steadily increasing in popularity and participation, and for the first time will be included in the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. Paraclimbing athletes compete in a range of divisions, including neurological impairment, visual impairment, upper and lower extremity impairment, and seated divisions. As one of the smaller divisions worldwide, I feel it is essential for seated women paraclimbers to participate in these world cup events leading up to the Paralympics and thereby help to continue to build a strong national team.
The International Federation of Sport Climbing World Cup events this year include competitions in:
Salt Lake City UT, USA in May,
Innsbruck, Austria in June,
World Championships in Seoul, South Korea in Sept
Laval, France in October
I’ve started this page in hopes to help raise funds to help offset the travel expenses, as well as other expenses, that I will incure as I am competing in the 2025 Paraclimbing World Cup circuit.
The first leg of the World Cup circuit will be here in the United States at Momentum-Fort Union in Salt Lake City, UT. As a AL-1 seated female athlete I am very excited to represent my country as well as my division. With all other future events being international events, the cost of travel, lodging, and food will start to add up. My hopes are to be able to offset that with the help of your donations. It means a lot to me to represent this small division of female athletes in paraclimbing. I am hoping to shine a spotlight on this division as I work hard towards placing at the World Cup for Team USA.
For those who want to read a little more, here is my story:
Andrea Wilson, born 1985, was a competitive athlete from a young age. Starting gymnastics at age 4, she worked her way to being a competitive level 10 gymnast and the top high school gymnast in her state. While her intent was to compete for a division 1 college team, during her senior year of high school she broke her back during a fall from the uneven bars and became paralyzed from the waist down.
She spent the next decade focused on academics, earning degrees from Princeton University, Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, and Columbia University School of Nursing. However, once she found CrossFit in 2018, she found her competitive drive again and hasn't looked back. She has been named CrossFit's Fittest on Earth for the last 4 years running and is just starting her competitive rock climbing career, finishing 2nd at her first Paraclimbing Nationals and earning a spot on the paraclimbing national team.
Thank you for taking the time to read through my story and goals. Any donations raised will 100% be put towards travel, lodging and food for my paraclimbing travels. Your donations, as well as your support and time, are greatly appreciated as I strive to represent Team USA on this amazing journey.
