Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Dacey Blackman, a close family friend of the Nickerson Family. My husband Mitch officiated their wedding this past December. As many of you know, Chenoa was a loving wife, and stepmom to two beautiful daughters, one of whom has special needs. Her loss is felt throughout the world from her family to her friends to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Chenoa’s joyous personality and unshakeable faith were contagious to everyone she met. She found immense peace and joy in God’s creation, whether it was hiking through nature or simply spending time with loved ones. Her goal was to always share the love of Jesus to anyone she came in contact with.

Her sudden loss has been devastating for Andrew and the girls. They need time to grieve and adjust to this new reality. Many of you have reached out, asking how you can help during this incredibly difficult time. **UPDATE: We are blown away at the generosity of the community! Thank you to all who donated. We have reached our goal of 30K. As mentioned before, this meets immediate basic needs, funeral costs, and some breathing room to grieve. From this point forward, any donations over the 30k milestone will be put into a separate fund towards a passion of Chenoa. She had a passion for theater and performing arts. She performed all throughout her school years and loved Broadway. Her favorite thing to do with her step-daughters was to take them to the local Hale Theater and experience the magic of live theater. Therefore, Anything additional to the 30k milestone will be donated in Chenoa’s name to a local K-8 school theater and performing arts club to help with any upgrades to equipment, renovations, set materials, costumes, or just overall budgetary needs.
