Help Andy & Annie Close their Shop With Love, Not Loss

In 2014, we poured our first literary candle at our kitchen table—long before we ever had a storefront, a team, or a vision for what this would become.

What started as a creative side project grew into something much bigger:

A brand built on storytelling, design, and the belief that small businesses can shape the spirit of a community.

In 2019, we opened our first shop.

In 2023, we moved into a beautiful, historic building in downtown Batavia and expanded our vision to include local goods, community events, and a reimagined general store.

Now, in 2025, we’ve made the incredibly hard decision to close both the shop and our candle business.

This didn’t come quickly or easily. We’ve spent months reflecting, listening, and weighing what’s best for our family and the season we’re in. If you’re curious about how we got here, we shared more of that story over on Instagram.

It’s bittersweet to let go of something we’ve poured so much into.

But it also feels honest. And the timing is right.

This season of our life is ending, and we want to close it with the same care, intention, and love that went into building it.

Your support will help us close out this chapter with less financial burden, because to be honest keeping the business afloat as long as we did has come with a significant cost—bringing our total closing expenses to over $50,000 of debt.

But we’re starting small and building as support comes in: one gift, one note, one kind gesture at a time—covering final expenses, tying up loose ends, and providing us a bit of breathing room as we step into what’s next.
