Support Andy's Urgent Medical Need

6/21 Update: Many warm thanks from Andy for all the generosity; he initially thought this wouldn't work out at all. He is very surprised and appreciative. Currently he is experiencing a couple complications including fever, a metal fastener disconnecting from his ankle bones and details surrounding his living on the beach. I've sent a little more than half of the funds to him as he needs to hire people to help him get off the beach and into a place more conducive to healing. I'm in communication with him and will provide funds as we hear from the surgeon as to options. As a result of cost to house him, etc I'm going to raise the fundraiser amount to $4K. Thank you all for your help.

Good day friends of Los Barriles. I've started this GFM for our brother Andres/Andy of LB who many of us know for his gentle spirit and gracious generosity. Time is of the essence here as he sustained a nasty ankle injury recently and could desperately use our help. Quite a bit of damage was done and the only option the local hospital is offering is to fuse his ankle, which would leave him permanently disabled. If he can come up with a little under $2,000, he can get help from a private surgeon who will fix the ankle in a way that leaves it flexible. There is a time crunch here as he goes back to see the doctor in La Paz on June 25th.

It's our time to give back to Andy and thank him for all he's done. Any donation big or small is appreciated greatly. And once again, if he's not able to secure payment for this very affordable surgery, he'll be disabled for life.
