Help Us Support Anesa in Her Fight Against Leukemia
We never thought we’d have to write one of these, let alone for our own child. At only 23 years old, our beloved Anesa, who means so much to us, has been through something no one should ever have to face. For over a year, she has lived in constant, excruciating pain. Forcing her to move closer to family and leave the life she made for herself in Northern California to get a second opinion, due to lack of care.
Anesa’s Journey So Far
Over a year ago, Anesa started seeing doctors when her pain first began. There were initial concerns that she might have leukemia, but after additional tests, that possibility was dismissed, and doctors suggested it could just be a lingering virus. Despite their reassurances, Anesa knew deep down that something wasn’t right. The pain didn’t go away—in fact, it only worsened. Determined to find answers, she endured countless appointments, battling both physical exhaustion and the frustration of not being taken seriously. Watching her suffer without understanding why has been heartbreaking for our family.
Where We Are Now
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Anesa has been admitted to the hospital and officially diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). While it’s a relief to finally know what’s been causing her pain, the diagnosis has brought us into a whole new world of challenges.
Thankfully, the Dr’s say the cancer is treatable, and she has a strong chance of recovery. She will need a bone marrow transplant and will need to undergo intensive treatment for months, during which she won’t be able to work. The pain and exhaustion have already taken such a toll on her that she had to leave her job, and now she faces the biggest battle of her life.
Our greatest wish is to take this burden away from her. It’s so painful to see someone we love endure something so unfair. Together, we’re asking for your help. Anesa has gone through numerous painful procedures and tests, including biopsies, MRIs, PET scans, CT scans, and countless blood tests. Some of her medical expenses are not fully covered by insurance, and with future expenses unknown, the financial burden is heavy. Every donation will go directly toward Anesa’s treatments, living expenses, and other needs, ensuring she has one less thing to worry about as she focuses on healing.
Anesa is incredibly strong and full of life, and she means the world to us. It breaks our hearts to see her go through this, but we know she’s a fighter. With your love and support, we believe she can overcome this.
Thank you for reading, for donating if you can, and for keeping Anesa in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness and generosity mean more to us than words can express.
With love and gratitude,
Dad, Mom and younger siblings
