Support Angel Davis' Recovery Journey

On March 29, 2023, Angel Davis was shot in the head by a Landlord Tenant Officer deputy, an armed private security contractor, while being evicted from her apartment. The LTO is a city appointed position that oversees private enforcement of evictions - without any accountability or training.

Angel has spent over a year recovering from the shooting. During this time she's been unable to earn any income, and has not received any disability benefits or settlement payments from the City of Philadelphia, despite their responsibility for her injuries. She is currently working with legal counsel to receive compensation for the physical and emotional trauma caused by the city, while advocating for an end to the LTO system of violent, private eviction enforcement.

While her recovery continues and her benefits are still pending, Angel has the same expenses we all do: rent, utilities, food, childcare costs. We are raising funds to cover as much of these expenses as possible through the end of 2024. A donor has agreed to match $3,500 in donations raised before July 1st.
