In Memory of Angelita Vázquez de Núñez: Funeral Support

De parte de la familia Núñez Vázquez, le solicitamos encarecidamente una donación para los gastos funerarios de nuestra madre, suegra, hermana, tía, amiga: Angelita Vázquez de Núñez.

Angelita fue una mujer hermosa por dentro y por fuera, trabajadora incansable, amable, amorosa y excepcionalmente generosa. De encantadora presencia, siempre hacía sentir a todo mundo, aceptado y querido sin juicios ni prejuicios.

El sábado 13 de Julio celebramos su cumpleaños 83 en compañía de sus 6 hijos, nueras y yernos, nietos, bisnietos y algunos de sus familiares y amigos más cercanos. Dos días después de verla disfrutar su festejo feliz y llena de vitalidad, se fue apagando y colapsó y se mantuvo en coma por 5 días, para darnos la oportunidad de, uno por uno, despedirnos de ella.

El sábado, 20 de Julio, dio el último suspiro rodeada de sus hijos, dejándonos con un gran vacío y el corazón roto a la familia y a cuantos la conocieron.

Lo repentino del hecho, y lo excesivo de los gastos funerarios en este país, ha dejado a la familia con una cuenta que asciende a muchos miles de dólares.

Les agradecemos de antemano su generosidad, los que puedan contribuir y a todos en general, les pedimos que la recuerden siempre con ese bello rostro y esa calidez y cariño que sentían al estar cerca de ella, porque como alguien dijo, solo muere en verdad al que se olvida.

Angelita was a beautiful woman both inside and out—tireless, kind, loving, and exceptionally generous. With her graceful presence, she had a unique way of making everyone feel accepted and loved without judgment or prejudice.

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, we gathered to celebrate her 83rd birthday. Surrounded by all six of her children, their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and some of her closest family and friends, she was vibrant and full of joy. Just two days after this joyful celebration, Angelita fell ill and collapsed. She remained in a coma for five days, during which we were given the precious opportunity to say our final goodbyes, one by one.

On Saturday, July 20, she took her last breath surrounded by her children, leaving her family and everyone who knew her with a great void and a broken heart.

The suddenness of her passing, coupled with the high cost of funeral expenses, has left the family with a significant debt amounting to thousands of dollars.

For those who are able to contribute, we thank you in advance for your generosity. To everyone who knew her, we ask you to always remember her beautiful face and the warmth and affection she brought into your lives. As someone wisely said, the only one who truly dies is the one who is forgotten. Let us keep her memory alive in our hearts.
