**Struck, Broken, and Left Behind—But Not Giving Up**

On the night of April 4, 2025, while finishing my final Uber Eats delivery for the night in New Orleans, my life was completely turned upside down.

I was biking through the intersection of Canal and Marais, just outside the French Quarter, when a pickup truck came out of nowhere and slammed into my left hip. The impact threw me to the ground. As I lay there, dazed and unable to move, I felt the tires crush my right foot and ankle—the driver never stopped. He sped off, leaving me broken in the street.

I don’t remember much after that. I was rushed to the emergency room and spent the next two weeks in the hospital, undergoing emergency surgery to reconstruct my left femur with rods and screws. My right foot is still swollen and bruised. Just walking across the room now takes every ounce of strength I have—and even that is with a walker.

The doctors tell me I won’t be able to work for up to a year.

I’m in pain every day. Still unable to walk on my own. Still unsure what tomorrow holds.

Why I’m Asking for Help

I’ve worked hard all my life—as an artist, a music producer and DJ, a service industry worker and most recently as a delivery cyclist. But this accident has taken away the most basic things: my mobility, my income, and my ability to care for myself safely.

Right now, I’m focused on **surviving this year of recovery**, and I urgently need your help to get through it.

Your donation will go directly toward helping me:

• Secure **a safe, accessible apartment** for a full year while I recover

• Pay for **utilities like electricity, gas, and internet**

• Cover the cost of **essential physical therapy**

• Afford basic **groceries, transportation, and uncovered prescriptions**

• Handle **mounting medical bills** from surgery and emergency care

I’m doing everything I can to stay strong. But I cannot do this alone. I need a safe, stable place to heal, to begin the long process of getting my strength and independence back.
